Artist's Statement

ART should be not only visually appealing, but have the sense of feel. I believe ART
shouldn’t be limited to our walls, but be functional, colorful and wearable.
Furni-art is the taking of furniture, or any object (new or used), and to modify it
creatively, treating it as if it were my canvas. Furni-art is not only to be SEEN, it is also
be FELT. Through the mix of different paint mediums, the use of textures and variety in
painting styles, modifications to the object and by adding everyday items, Furni-art
interacts with you. What you get is a piece of furniture; a table, lamp, jewelry box, mirror, bench, stool, door, dresser, a pair of shutters, BLUE JEANS or a GUITAR that is one-of-a-kind, a unique and functional true piece of Art.
